Ratios and Traceability

Traceability refers to the steps in the pyramid.

Each step in the pyramid is made traceable by a comparison with the level above it.

A given measurement is traceable if it can be shown to be referenced to National or International Standards by an "unbroken chain of comparisons, each with stated uncertainties."
