Using a Torque Wrench

Setting Signal Mechanism

It is easy to set the sensory signal. To pre-set desired torque, adjust the trigger finger (1) so that it trips the trigger, (2) which releases the sensory mechanism at the instant the pointer tip (3) indicates the desired torque on the scale. The trigger finger lock nut (4) need only be tightened by hand to hold securely.

Please note that the trigger finger (1) is not a reference pointer and no effort should be made to line this with the increment markings on the scale when setting the Sensory Signaling Mechanism.
