A pointer attached to the socket will improve the accuracy of this test, and after movement has been detected, the memory style torque wrench can be checked to determine the precise torque value.

This procedure has become the most widely used due to the narrow margin of difference between the applied torque and a torque required to set the fastener in motion in a tightening direction.
