Torque and Tension

Torque and tension are distinctively different and must not be confused.

Torque is twist, the standard unit of measure being foot-pounds; tension is straight pull, the unit of measure being pounds.

Wrenches designed for measuring the tightness of a nut are distinctively Torque Wrenches and not tension wrenches.
